Sebastian's first day at daycare

Today was Sebastian's first day at daycare. He went to the Bright Horizons Center in the city. I decided to drive into the city today in hopes of an easy commute for him. It did end up being pretty easy. Sebastian took a little nap in the car and again when we strolled to the daycare center from the parking garage, 8 blocks away. (He loves to sleep in anything moving. I get it - I would too.) He woke up just as we arrived to the center and was all smiles for America, his nanny for the day. I was a bit apprehensive, leaving him, but tried not to linger and as soon as he was settled, kissed him good bye, told him I'd be back later, turned, left and forced myself not to look back. Of course the whole walk back to the office I kept wondering if he would be alright. I called two times during the day to check on him (all seemed fine) before finally picking him up at 4:30 pm. All in all everything seemed to go ok on his first day. He was asleep when I arrived but quickly woke up when he heard my voice. Again all smiles (whew). He received his first report card with a smiley face and a message that read "He is a happy, playful baby who likes to socialize". That's my happy boy!
