Summer Fridays at HBO = we leave at 3p instead of 5p. This particular Friday I decided to take Sebastian to Louisa Park in Weehawken. It was a nice day and after dropping off our stuff at home and stocking up the stroller, we headed over to the park. Fifteen minutes later, we reached our destination but my little boy was fast asleep. I decided to take this opportunity to make a detour and stroll over to Dunkin' for an iced coffee. Another 15 minutes later, my iced coffee in hand, Sebastian started to stir and we arrived back at the park. It was a bit crowded by this time but Sebastian seemed extremely excited about the noise and chaos of children running and splashing around in the sprinkler area. The look on his face = priceless. He had the biggest, most genuine grin on his face. It reminded me so much of his daddy's grin.
The sprinkler area wasn't meant for crawling but Sebastian did get to stand in the water and enjoy the sprays of water on his face. We sat on the swings (both of us on the big swing and then Sebastian in the baby swing). He smiled, giggled and waved his hands around. A truly happy moment for both mother and child. It was my turn to wear the grin. :)
